I credit Scaler Academy for where I am at today: Review by Software Engineer at Google

Image
Scaler Academy Learner, Anshul Jain shares her learning experience with us: "During my BTech and MTech years at Delhi’s Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology (BPIT) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) respectively, I particularly enjoyed working on problems and learning more about Data Structures and Algorithms. In fact, I have been extremely interested in DS and Algo since high school. However, as much as I enjoyed my classes in college, I always felt the syllabus was too theoretical and that the teaching could have been more industry-specific. Later, while working at CaaStle in my first job as a front-end developer, I saw an ad for Scaler on Facebook and I immediately registered for the program. I used to attend DS and Algo coaching classes in college as well, hence, I knew that additional training would really hone my skills. In addition to DS and Algo training, I wanted to learn more about System Design as well at Scaler Academy. Check out the complete Review

My Transformational Journey With Scaler Academy- Review By Scaler Ahrarul Haque

Image
We are humbled by the review of our Scaler Ahrarul Haque , "I don't come from a well-off family, and being the eldest of five children, there's always an added pressure to work hard. My introduction to the world of joint entrance exams happened quite late. I was initially into electrical engineering, but later on, I became interested in CSE. I got CSE in a tier-II college, and the first year was spent studying very little. I also tutored school kids, which helped me become self-dependant. After the second year began, I decided I needed to get back on my path. I worked very hard and spent my time studying for the placements. The on-campus scene wasn't so great, and I managed to get into Samsung as a software engineer through an off-campus interview. Interviewbit was one of the most helpful resources to practice and in fact, I had a 200-day streak on the platform! Scaler Academy Review: How I landed a job at Zeta

Image
From being in an uncertain territory to reaching certainty in coding , Scaler Suryakant Sharma shares his journey with us, "When I joined Scaler Academy, my coding profile was decent, and I felt confident about the questions I knew. But my first mock interview was an eye-opener - I realized I was underprepared, and still had a lot to learn. I owe it to my mentor and my Teaching Assistant,  Ravi Raushan  Sir, who inspired me to not get discouraged, and work harder. I spoke to my instructors at Scaler Academy. They trusted my potential and asked me to work on my skills so that I could land at a much better place. Read his complete review: Link I kept interacting with my coordinator,  Krupali Dudhat  Ma’am, and sent emails to Ajay Sir, constantly seeking guidance and support. They were always patient with me and calmly dealt with my fears and uncertainty. Two months later, I cleared the interviews and landed a job with  Zeta India , one of the portfolio companies of the  Directi  gr

How I Got Into Amazon: My Review of Scaler Academy

Image
Our Scaler Mentees are an integral part of our coding community and it gives us great pride to be able to see them grow into a better version of themselves. Here is what our Scaler Shubham Verma had to share about his experience with us, "I came to know about Scaler Academy when I was in the final semester. I have some decent knowledge of DS&Algo but that was not enough to crack top tech giants interviews. I joined it and as the name suggests Scaler Academy help me scale my skillset level by level. The course is very well designed in sections such that it will prepare you interviews in the first 3–4 months of the course. It’s obvious that software engineering is not all about DS&Algo, so in the next 2–3 months you will be trained on different Backend/Frontend technologies as per your choice. So overall this 6-month course not only makes you good at interviews but also gives you your first hand-on experience in the software engineering field. I was persuing this  course  al

Scaler Academy Changed My Life In The Best Possible Way: Review by Suraj Kumar Awasthi

Image
Presenting the journey of our Scaler Suraj Kumar Awasthi in his exact words: "From spending 3 years in a service-based company to now cracking all 4 product-based company interviews, my journey with Scaler Academy has been anything but Ordinary. I barely managed to get admission in an engineering college, joining as part of its second batch in 2011. With no infrastructure, no proper labs, and on top no campus placements. I started facing self-esteem issues. But all I aspired to know was some thing related to computers. There is no other way to put it. I realized that my education is still not complete, and I decided to appear for GATE , even after preparing for 1 year, couldn’t make into a big one and somehow got a private college in Pune, but all it could do for me was land me a job in a service-based company. Initially, I got into a non-development profile. I worked on myself recklessly and luckily, I got my first development project. But I knew I wasn’t in the right place. I w

Read the story of our Scaler Bibhu Prasad Pala , from being a Scaler mentee to Software Development Engineer at Amazon in his words. "I am IB Academy Student who recently got placed in Amazon. I will pen down my story! And will leave up to you to decide if it is worthy or not! I was working as an intern (in 8th sem) and work was not great and even my salary was not satisfactory. I tried asking referrals from close friends, seniors, and even strangers. And Finally I got one from very good startup @Fivertran and prepared for weeks and attended the interview but I failed. I was broken because referrals for freshers is a tough job if you are not from IIT or NIT. Now I had no referrals, Soon I found InterviewBit is going to conduct classes and they give referrals and We have to pay after we get placed in our dream companies. I thought It’s a win-win situation. They conduct Entrance test in First Batch I couldn’t get in I tried the second time and I cleared in Second Batch test. Origina

Experience with Scaler Academy : Review for Freshers

Coming from a lower-middle-class family in Patna, Scaler Kumar Saurav has worked his way up through alot of hardships. His parents, father who owns a departmental store and mum - a homemaker worked hard to provide him the best education possible. His passion for computers started at an early age when he got introduced to HTML at school and from then on Computers instantly became his subject of interest. He used to save money on his commute by cycling daily 12-15 km to reach his IIT Jee coaching classes. Although he wanted to pursue an engineering degree at a college in Dehradun, he decided to opt for Burdhwan University which had comparatively lower fee structure. Talking about his college life, he states that there wasn't any coding culture nor any alumni with great past records. When he got introduced to Scaler Academy through some friends he was quite unsure about it but decided to pursue it. Here is what he had to share with us: "For someone like me, Scaler Aca

IIITH Alumni Startups InterviewBit and Scaler Academy – Reimagining Online Tech Education

Image
For Founders Anshuman and Abhimanyu, it was their love for computer science that brought them to IIITH. The entrepreneurial bug caught the duo early in 2008 while still on campus which resulted in them starting their own ventures "Daksh" - a home automation system prototype, "Campus Bhopu" - a precursor of sorts to Facebook, along with their bactchmate Jayraj Bhattacharya. Although their ventures were a success, after graduation they went on to pursue corporate jobs where Anshuman was hired by Facebook and Abhimanyu joined Fab.com. Four years into their respective jobs, the duo decided to quit in 2014, and founded InterviewBit .  With their vision of bridging the gap between university education and industry requirements which became apparent after interviewing multiple candidates in their respective companies, they launched Interviewbit in 2015. IB which Abhimanyu refers to as a "massive public library of programming problems" which is a suc

We as a community at Scaler Academy have always believed in providing every software engineer a level playing field and it makes us feel immensely proud of our Scaler mentees like Saurav who help us with our mission. Here is his journey in his very own words... "I come from humble backgrounds. My parents run a vegetable/general store shop, and I have two elder brothers. But I am the only fortunate one in the family whom my parents could afford to send to college. My family has supported me a lot over the years. Initially, I wasn’t even sure which branch would be best for me, so I ended up choosing mechanical, but I switched to Computer Science soon after.  I decided to pursue Scaler Academy, not only were they going to help me get referrals at companies that offered much better packages but also helped me better my programming skills.  The instructors and lecturers were very knowledgeable and kept us engaged - bettering our understanding of the concepts while also motivati
