How I Got Into Amazon: My Review of Scaler Academy
Our Scaler Mentees are an integral part of our coding community and it gives us great pride to be able to see them grow into a better version of themselves.
Here is what our Scaler Shubham Verma had to share about his experience with us,
"I came to know about Scaler Academy when I was in the final semester. I have some decent knowledge of DS&Algo but that was not enough to crack top tech giants interviews.
I joined it and as the name suggests Scaler Academy help me scale my skillset level by level. The course is very well designed in sections such that it will prepare you interviews in the first 3–4 months of the course. It’s obvious that software engineering is not all about DS&Algo, so in the next 2–3 months you will be trained on different Backend/Frontend technologies as per your choice. So overall this 6-month course not only makes you good at interviews but also gives you your first hand-on experience in the software engineering field.
I was persuing this course along with my job in a not so well known company. I got referred for plenty of good companies in-between the course and I faced a lot of rejections too. But you need to show your persistence in those tough times. Now finally, I’m leaving this company and going to join Amazon in the next few weeks.
This experience of mine for Scaler Academy is for those who are like Nobita and are in their final year. Most of you will argue that everything is available online and we can learn by ourselves and I’ll agree but that too requires a streamlined guidance from someone which you might have but not others and then the concept of teachers will be null and void.
It was a nice experience for me at Scaler Academy. It is backed by really good instructors and industry mentors. They will try their best to help you out in every possible way. You will achieve much more in those 6 months which you might have missed in those 4 years of college."
