I credit Scaler Academy for where I am at today: Review by Software Engineer at Google

Scaler Academy Learner, Anshul Jain shares her learning experience with us: "During my BTech and MTech years at Delhi’s Bhagwan Parshuram Institute of Technology (BPIT) and Netaji Subhas Institute of Technology (NSIT) respectively, I particularly enjoyed working on problems and learning more about Data Structures and Algorithms. In fact, I have been extremely interested in DS and Algo since high school. However, as much as I enjoyed my classes in college, I always felt the syllabus was too theoretical and that the teaching could have been more industry-specific. Later, while working at CaaStle in my first job as a front-end developer, I saw an ad for Scaler on Facebook and I immediately registered for the program. I used to attend DS and Algo coaching classes in college as well, hence, I knew that additional training would really hone my skills. In addition to DS and Algo training, I wanted to learn more about System Design as well at Scaler Academy. Check out the complete Review

How Scaler Academy Helped Upskill My Career

Image
Here’s what our Scaler Baishali Ghosh had to say about the online program, "I applied to Amazon for the role of SDE-2, and got an opportunity to interview with them. But in spite of having learnt the basics, my knowledge about system design was severely lacking, and I got rejected in the last round. A product-based role presented itself in the form of Foyr where I worked on the development of a cutting edge interior design software. I wanted to level up my skills, so when Scaler Academy came along, I thought it was the perfect opportunity. I particularly remember  Kshitij  sir’s classes on DS Algo.  Tarun  sir’s classes on DP, HLD and LLD were amazing. His habit of cracking jokes between lectures kept the atmosphere light. But the one person who deserves a special mention in my growth was my mentor,  Pragy  sir. He had realised early on that I was a visual person, and always emphasized on using examples whenever I got stuck. All his training and constant emphasis on examples, save

My Honest Review: Is Scaler Academy actually worth it ?

We are happy to be sharing the journey of our Scaler Mithlesh Kumar who has recently bagged a job role as an upcoming SDE at PhonePe. Here's what he had to say about his experience with Scaler Academy... "The first thing I noticed was the course - it was very well structured and expansive. Throughout my academic life, I had memorized everything by rote, but I knew this strategy wouldn’t help me succeed or grow in life. So the first few months at Scaler were very important for me as I understood the basics thoroughly. The highly qualified mentors, the teaching assistants, the success managers - everyone was there to help us reach our full potential. To me, Scaler always felt like a family. I could reach anyone at any time and would always receive help. They never turned me away, no matter what time of the day it was. The Mentorship pillar was one of the highlights of the course. Every fortnight, I would have one-on-one sessions with my mentor,  Ashutosh Agrawal  from  Visa . H

Image
Presenting the journey of our Scaler Suraj Kumar Awasthi in his exact words: "From spending 3 years in a service-based company to now cracking all 4 product-based company interviews, my journey with Scaler Academy has been anything but Ordinary. I barely managed to get admission in an engineering college, joining as part of its second batch in 2011. With no infrastructure, no proper labs, and on top no campus placements. I started facing self-esteem issues. But all I aspired to know was some thing related to computers. There is no other way to put it. I realized that my education is still not complete, and I decided to appear for GATE , even after preparing for 1 year, couldn’t make into a big one and somehow got a private college in Pune, but all it could do for me was land me a job in a service-based company. Initially, I got into a non-development profile. I worked on myself recklessly and luckily, I got my first development project. But I knew I wasn’t in the right place. I w

Read the story of our Scaler Bibhu Prasad Pala , from being a Scaler mentee to Software Development Engineer at Amazon in his words. "I am IB Academy Student who recently got placed in Amazon. I will pen down my story! And will leave up to you to decide if it is worthy or not! I was working as an intern (in 8th sem) and work was not great and even my salary was not satisfactory. I tried asking referrals from close friends, seniors, and even strangers. And Finally I got one from very good startup @Fivertran and prepared for weeks and attended the interview but I failed. I was broken because referrals for freshers is a tough job if you are not from IIT or NIT. Now I had no referrals, Soon I found InterviewBit is going to conduct classes and they give referrals and We have to pay after we get placed in our dream companies. I thought It’s a win-win situation. They conduct Entrance test in First Batch I couldn’t get in I tried the second time and I cleared in Second Batch test. Origina

Scaler Academy Review - Ajitesh Kumar Shares His Experience from Scaler Academy to Amazon

Image
It gives us great pleasure to share the journey of our Scaler, Ajitesh Kumar, who joined Amazon as a Programmer Analyst. Here He Shares His Experience With Us In His Very Own Words ... "I was born and brought up in Jamshedpur and for a long period of time, we had no financial support since my father is not alive, so it was very difficult for me to complete my B tech. My uncle helped us with my education fees. When I was in 10th/11th standard, I needed to focus more on science and had to sideline computers. I didn’t like the idea since I loved computers but had to do it as the marks required for getting admission in a nice college depended on it.  I always loved coding, I got my first computer when I was aged 6. My father couldn’t afford the computer at that time but somehow he managed to arrange 20K to buy that computer. It’s still at my place, although nobody uses it. I prepared for IIT but couldn’t clear it in my first attempt so I took a drop, then tried again bu
